From
Springfield, MO., take Highway 65 South. You will pass through
Branson, Hollister and cross the Arkansas state line. Just as you
cross the Arkansas state line Highway 65 turns into a 4 lane
highway, stay in the left lane. Just past the Highway 14 West sign
you will see the sign for Highway 14 East (Omaha and Lead Hill).
Turn left onto Highway 14 East.
You
will come to the city limits of Omaha, Arkansas., and will see a
sign for Highway 14 East again. Turn left on Highway 14 East. It
is approximately 35 miles from Omaha, AR., to the Lakeway, Welcome
Ridge Access Area sign. You will pass through Lead Hill, AR., and
Monarch, AR., (don't blink.) At the Lakeway, Welcome Ridge Access
Area sign turn left. This road is MC 8001.
Go
6.9 miles down Welcome Ridge (MC 8001) until you come to MC 8013. Turn
left onto the dirt road - MC 8013. Continue on the dirt road for 2
miles. (You will see a road on your left when you first turn onto
the dirt road, and also a road left at 1 1/2 miles (MC 8099), do
not turn onto these roads, stay to the right and continue on the
dirt road for 2 miles. You will see the barn and then the driveway
on the left at 2 miles.
There is also a Turtle Island sign posted at the driveway.
